Electronic contracts have long been recognized as having the same legal value as paper contracts, clearly stipulated in the Law on Electronic Transactions No. 51/2005/QH11, Decree No. 52/2013/ND-CP on e-commerce, Decree No. 130/2018 on digital signatures and digital signature certification services.
- The Law on Electronic Transactions 2023 has 10 new changes that benefit businesses when applying Electronic Contracts and Digital Signatures.
- Green-ticked electronic contracts reduce legal risks while still ensuring business integrity, and are applied in operations such as sales, services, construction, credit, and insurance.
- Some regulations on Digital Signatures have been added, the new Law has also updated information on recognizing the legal value of foreign Electronic Certificates.
