CAMEX x 1C VIETNAM: SYNCHRONIZING DATA AND ENHANCING MANAGEMENT CAPABILITIES FOR MECHANICAL ENGINEERING ENTERPRISES WITH MINI ERP SOLUTIONS

On September 16, 2026, Camex Vietnam and 1C Vietnam officially launched their digital transformation project with the 1C:Company Management (mini ERP) solution, aiming to connect data and synchronize management activities across departments for a unified system.

1. INTRODUCTION TO THE CLIENT: CAMEX VIETNAM

Established in 2012, Camex Vietnam Co., Ltd. has over 14 years of experience in precision machining, with main product groups including springs, sheet metal parts, turned products, bolts and screws.

Currently, Camex Vietnam has 475 employees and owns a factory with an area of 8,936 m² in Vinh Lai commune, Hai Phong city, with an investment of 2 million USD. The company supplies products to the domestic market and exports, with a diverse product portfolio in the fields of precision mechanics and supporting industries.

2. THE GOVERNANCE CHALLENGE OF CAMEX VIETNAM

Previously, Camex Vietnam used a customized management solution, with management features primarily focused on two departments: Production & Warehousing. 1C Vietnam's survey identified five major management issues:

-PERFORMANCE: The speed of information retrieval on the system is slow, affecting the process of searching and exploiting data.

-DATA RELIABILITY: The system still generates data errors during operation; for example, there are cases where goods have been shipped from the warehouse but the inventory quantity in the system has not been updated accordingly.

-LIMITED ANALYSIS AND INFORMATION RETRIEVAL CAPABILITIES: It is not yet possible to quickly retrieve a list of items sold to a specific customer; it is not easy to retrieve information about which finished products are being used for a particular material, such as a specific wire size; and it is not yet effective in managing information about the location of goods in the warehouse.

-DISCRETE DATA: Inventory data still has to be exported to Excel for manual entry into accounting software, creating an additional intermediate processing step, wasting time, and posing a risk of errors.

-LACKING FEATURES IN THE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE: The current system does not meet the needs for order management and does not support tracking schedules and machine capacity.

Based on Camex Vietnam's management needs and practical challenges, the 1C Vietnam team advised on suitable approaches, focusing on meeting core business requirements. Camex assessed the 1C:Company Management (Mini ERP) solution as suitable for the company's scale and operational needs, addressing Production, Warehousing, Sales, and Purchasing functions while offering a short implementation time and optimal investment cost. Furthermore, the solution, developed on the 1C:Enterprise platform, is open and customizable, allowing for the fulfillment of specific requirements during implementation.

3. CAMEX VIETNAM x 1C VIETNAM: AIMING FOR DATA SYNCHRONIZATION AND ENHANCED MANAGEMENT CAPABILITIES FOR MECHANICAL ENGINEERING ENTERPRISES WITH MINI ERP SOLUTIONS

The 1C:Company Management solution implementation project at Camex Vietnam was carried out across 7 modules: CRM, Sales, Purchasing, Production, Warehousing, Finance, and Payroll & Human Resources, aiming to connect data and synchronize management activities between departments.

In addition to core management functions, the solution will be customized to Camex's specific operational characteristics, focusing on several key issues:

-Warehouse Location Management: Manages detailed location of shelves/racks/racks within the warehouse; tracks goods in the temporary area and main warehouse; supports location management on product labels. For incoming goods, the system is being considered for a mechanism to suggest locations based on criteria such as volume, weight, and date of arrival.

-Managing incoming/outgoing goods and waiting area: Monitor the quantity of goods in the temporary waiting area as a separate management area, including cases where goods are shipped in multiple batches or need to be returned to the main warehouse.

-Production management by stage: Adds information on remaining quantities at each stage, tracks production results at each stage, and supports progress management throughout the production process.

-Lot Traveller & Production Traceability: Customize Lot Traveller forms and barcode retrieval mechanisms to look up production orders, ensuring accurate quantity management for each batch.

-Outsourcing Management: Track the quantity of semi-finished products sent and received during outsourcing, and manage costs at each stage in cases where a semi-finished product undergoes multiple processing steps.

The project aims to build a system capable of providing quick, accurate, and timely information, enabling Camex Vietnam's departments to access updated management data, while also providing facility management with more comprehensive information to monitor operations and support decision-making. In addition, the project aims to optimize investment costs, ensure stable system operation, and provide timely support during use by the 1C Vietnam expert team.
